The Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in F minor is the soundtrack of the dvd “I CAMPIONI RICORDANO"

Giovanni Allevi’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in F minor “La Danza della Strega” is the soundtrack of the dvd I CAMPIONI RICORDANO" published  by Corriere della Sera and La Gazzetta dello Sport on the occasion of Holocaust Memorial Day  (27th January) to remember the victims of the Holocaust.

It is a documentary dealing with Italy national football team’s visit to the Nazi extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau on the occasion of Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.

A day which is engraved in the minds and hearts of the footballers, mainly because with them there were three Italian Jews who survived the Shoah: Samuel Modiano, Piero Terracina and Hanna Kugler Weiss.

Therefore, it is a dvd that addresses the younger generations and invites them to become witness of what happened so that it will never happen again.

The revenue will be donated to the FONDAZIONE MUSEO of the SHOAH ONLUS for didactic purposes about the Shoah.

The dvd “I campioni ricordano” will be available for sale with Corriere della Sera and La Gazzetta dello Sport from Holocaust Memorial Day, Monday 27th January.

Giovanni Allevi new Save the Children Ambassador

Maestro Giovanni Allevi has become a Save the Children Ambassador and he is going to support the engagement of the charity for the protection of children’s rights and for the concrete improvement of their life conditions all over the world.

Giovanni is going to support the “Every One” campaign in order to stop infant mortality. In fact, still today every year more than 6 and a half million children die due to preventable and curable causes, such as malaria, pneumonia, measles and dysentery.
“Most of all after having become a father myself, I couldn’t help but realize the difficult and sometimes impossible life conditions of a lot of children in the world. Their rights are not protected, they are victims of exploitation and abuse, they can’t go to school or they even die due to banal reasons”, says Giovanni.

The support to the Charity was started by the “Christmas for You” CD, released just a few days ago, and it will go on into 2014 with different initiatives. First of all, one experience of Maestro Allevi along with Save the Children in one of the developing countries where the Charity realizes some mother-child health projects.
